Madison Etsy-ers

I love browsing Etsy! The wide array of items, made by talented individuals, and available at a click of a button, are astonishing.  Madison 52 is about celebrating and spreading the word of our local businesses, so I want to include our Madison area Etsy shop owners! I’m happy to share with you a small sampling of the talented Etsy crafters and makers from our area neighborhoods! Take a look at their websites, follow on social media and support them, just as you would the local store down the street.

Cellar Designs

What products does your Etsy shop offer? I have hand lettering prints, watercolor prints, large framed hand lettered canvases, calendars, coffee mugs, reclaimed wood signs, and a 30 day devotional called Restore the Joy: 30 Days of Hope, Faith and Joy. I also teach hand lettering workshops that women and men travel from all over to attend. I love sharing my love for lettering and its therapeutic qualities with people. I also currently am writing a non-fiction book.

Tell me why you love Madison. I love the energy of Madison. The people are hard working, kind, fun, adventurous and more. I love Badger games, the Tterrace in the summer, the capitol and all the hidden gems of our city. I have lived many places around the states but am so glad to return to Madison as it is truly one of the best places to live.

Cloudberry Beauty

What products does your Etsy shop offer?  I sell all-natural skin care, beauty, health and home products. I use the highest quality essential oils, butters, herbs, and plant extracts. I also offer free skin care consultations.

Tell me why you love Madison. Madison is my home because it’s just the right size —not too big, not too small. It’s a lively city with many forms of entertainment, and is generally very family-friendly. The exceptional medical staff at Madison’s hospitals have seen me through cancer twice, and because of them I am able to enjoy life here with my husband and children.

Green Ts

What products does your Etsy shop offer? I offer high quality apparel items, from t-shirts and tanks to caps and hoodies. They feature my original designs and let us Scansinites have a little laugh with ourselves. There may be some that refer to beer and cheese. I also love collaborating with individuals or organizations to create original designs just for them, in turn I can handle their production needs as well.

Tell me why you love Madison. Ever since moving from the Driftless area of Wisconsin to get my degree in art and graphic design at UW Madison I have felt very at home. The geography is amazing, having access to two lakes with bike paths connecting the whole downtown, the Isthmus feels like one huge park. Madison has had an explosion of top notch restaurants, but remains casual and laid back. I also enjoy the occasional micro-brew, artisanal whiskey or mead and Madison does not disappoint. All in all, there is a lot available in a small, friendly package. Madison also gives me a lot of inspiration for my artwork. New designs often come to me as I walk or bike around the city, so keep an eye out for additions to my shop.

Hello Little Pinecone

What products does your Etsy shop offer? Hello Little Pinecone offers Little Pinecone baby and toddler clothes, handmade in soft organic cotton in fun unisex prints. Playful clothes for stylish little humans!

Our inventory continues to expand and is now available through age 5. They are generously sized, so you can order true to age with room to grow! We offer leggings, bandana bibs, t-shirts, rompers, sunsuits, sweatpants, shorts, infant hats and scratch mitts, dresses, and swaddle blankets. The fabric, produced in the United States, is 100% organic soft cotton knit printed with non-toxic dyes. It is pre-washed and pre-shrunk in baby safe detergent so it is ready for your little one to wear.

Items are added to the shop when a customer requests a custom order either from a different print or an alteration to the original article. We are always adding new prints that are curated by one of my daughters and her 3 ½ year old son. My other daughter’s sense of humor and creativity assist in the marketing of my items.

Tell me why you love Madison. I have lived in Madison for almost 42 years. I moved here after my post college education and have always lived in the same Eastside neighborhood. I had hoped to have a home with a large yard, but I realized that my neighborhood has the best of “city” living. The houses are close, I can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, live theater, a hardware store, library, my clinic, and it is alive with gallery night open houses. Madison was a great place to raise my two daughters who thrived in the schools and community. It is a beautiful city with lakes and parks, a large farmer’s market, events at the University, and it is the Capital of Wisconsin.

No Coast Paper Co.

What products does your Etsy shop offer? Greeting Cards, postcards, stickers, art prints and buttons.

Tell me why you love Madison. Madison is a town where it’s easy to get lost in your creativity. Everyone in the Madison handmade community is so supportive, and it’s a great city to get inspiration from, while having a positive atmosphere surround you. I’ve lived in a couple of larger cities (Chicago, Illinois, and Sacramento, California), and so far I think Madison suits me best. It has a nice mix of entertainment and culture but isn’t overwhelmingly big, so you still have that close-knit community feel.

I love living in Madison and make the most of all it has to offer. In addition to socializing in the incredible food scene (I’m a true foodie!), I enjoy theatre, music, opera, kayaking, camping, and making day trips to experience Madison’s fantastic outlying communities. My long background in residential property management, paired with a formal education in psychology, inspired me to merge those experiences and become a real estate agent. Now I put those skills to work for you, fulfilling my inherent desire to help people, earn their trust, and advocate for their best interests. It all starts with the opportunity to hear about your dreams, concerns, and what’s important to you. So, let’s talk about your real estate goals. I look forward to listening to you.
